Rise and Grind in downtown Durham was founded by Bobby Marcotte, the man behind Tuckaway Tavern, so I had high expectations. Their Rise and Grind breakfast sandwich has a runny egg, a unique pork-and-beef breakfast sausage, maple syrup, American cheese, all on an everything bagel with great chew and integrity. The sausage is something I've never had before and it works — a little twist that makes this sandwich original.
