Recommended by followers, Hot Mess Poutine's maple bacon smash burger delivered serious char and flavor on a soft fresh bun. Smash burgers are my favorite form of burger and this one nailed it, though I was left wanting a second patty. The hand-cut fries were the surprise star at 8.2. Everybody told me I had to go back for the actual poutine, so I did - the maple bacon poutine is enormous, bigger than my head, with squeaky cheese curds, fantastic gravy, and bacon crumbled down small enough that every single bite has some in it. Owner Renee is from Quebec, so this is about as authentic as poutine gets around here. 8.3 on the poutine.
