Road trip! We were in the Cincinnati area and crossed the river to Smoke Justis in Covington. The smoked wings are the move: mostly flats, meaty and substantial, with a heavy smoke flavor and an outside so crispy I guessed they were flash-fried after the smoker (they are: slow-smoked in house, then flash-fried). A full pound runs $16. The buffalo sauce on the side is tangy and unlike any other buffalo I've had, and the blue cheese is amazing. My wife's turkey BLT was solid, with nice smoked turkey and very crispy bacon, but it wasn't mind-blowing. Come for the wings.
📍 Road trip. This one's across the river from Cincinnati, not in New England.
