“Crispy fried clams with killer tartar, better than Clam Box but Essex Seafood edges it.”
Continuing the North Shore Clam Crawl at Farnham's Famous Clams in Essex — a small box ran $30, cash only. The batter is nice and golden with a great crisp, and that creamy tartar really elevates them. Not as salty as Essex Seafood and a different kind of crunch; we landed around an 8.4. Better than Clam Box, just shy of Essex Seafood, plus amazing views.
