What I reviewed
- Small Fried Clam Box8.2
- Tartar Sauce
“Crispy, light-battered fried clams that melt in your mouth—just wildly overpriced.”
First stop on the North Shore fried clam tour at the iconic Clam Box, open since 1935. The clams are nice and crispy with a light batter that melts in your mouth, and the house-made tartar is legit—though everything could use a touch more salt. At almost $32 for a small box though? Not worth it—I'd pay 20 to 25 tops.
