“Famous fried clams tie Essex Seafood at 8.6 — crispy and great, just a touch chewy.”

Final stop on the North Shore clam crawl with Uncle Dave, and Woodman's lived up to the hype. The clams were nice and golden brown, really crispy, with a dill-heavy tartar that's unique and great. Only thing holding them back from the crown was a little chew — melt a bit better and they'd hit 8.7 or 8.8, but today it's a tie at 8.6.
